Our client is a leading provider of non-invasive vascular testing services, committed to the early detection and management of a wide range of vascular conditions including peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysm, cerebrovascular disease and stroke, deep vein thrombosis, and varicose veins. Established in 1994, the practice is proudly owned and operated by practicing vascular clinicians who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient-focused care. With 4 state-of-the-art diagnostic centres across Brisbane, they provide essential testing services to both inpatient and outpatient communities.
We have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join this high-performing team of Clinical and Administrative staff, on a permanent, part-time basis (4 days per week across Monday to Friday). This role will work closely with the whole team to ensure patients are receiving high-quality care throughout their journey. This role will be based across the Chermside and North Lakes practices, so travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have prior experience working within a similar Private Specialist Practice environment.
Key duties and Responsibilities
* Handling all incoming and outgoing correspondence, including answering phone calls, responding to emails promptly, and assisting patients with general enquiries
* Welcoming patients to the practice, managing and coordinating patient appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling appointments using Shexie software
* Preparing and running patient clinics, including the billing and receipting of all patient consultations
* Provide administrative, reception and secretarial support to 5 Vascular Surgeons, 4 Sonographers and the Practice Manager alongside the other Medical Receptionist
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensuring confidentiality at all times
To be successful in this role, you must be able to demonstrate
* At least 1-3 years working experience in a similar specialist environment will be viewed favourably
* Strong understanding of Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, and Private Health Fund billing processes
* A team player who can also work independently and contribute effectively to a small team
* Experience using a medical software platform to manage the day-to-day tasks such as Shexie, Genie and/or Gentu
* Ability to travel to Chermside and North Lakes clinics as rostered
Remuneration
A competitive hourly rate between $32 - $38 per hour + super is on offer for this position, negotiable based on the candidate's experience. There is also free carparking available at the North Lakes practice.
