We are seeking a qualified Diesel Fitter to join our team in Ayr. This is a permanent, full-time role based in our workshop, with field work opportunities as required to support our customers.
About the Role
As a Diesel Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel machinery and equipment. This role requires strong technical skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines and equipment
* Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently
* Perform breakdown and preventative maintenance
* Ensure all work is completed to a high safety and quality standard
* Maintain accurate service and repair records
* Follow company procedures, WHS requirements, and site policies
About You
* Trade qualified Diesel Fitter (Certificate III or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a similar diesel fitting role
* Experience working with heavy machinery is essential
* Minimum 3-5 years of diesel fitting experience required
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Current driver's licence
* Strong commitment to safety and reliability
