Why The Role Matters
The lecturer will be responsible for teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. They must demonstrate high-quality teaching effectiveness and maintain professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge and deliver minimum professional accreditation requirements as determined by industry standards.
Key Accountabilities
* Demonstrate and continuously develop a well-defined teaching philosophy that inspires student learning and improves teaching and student experience.
* Initiate the development of emerging pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning with support from senior academics, including methodologies for climate positive design and improved landscape performance outcomes.
* Coordinate courses and manage course administration such as Course Authority, ensuring academic quality assurance.
* Assess student learning achievements and support students in postgraduate and undergraduate courses in line with relevant policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered you must hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
* A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience equivalent to AQF Level 10.
* Proven commitment to proactively advancing disciplinary knowledge.
* Demonstrated high-quality teaching effectiveness, and teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
* Knowledge of digital technologies relevant to the field of landscape architecture, including those that support climate change adaptation and improved landscape performance outcomes.
* Working knowledge of relevant state and national policies and their role in progressing the profession of landscape architecture.
* Significant involvement with the profession and/or industry. Professional Registration desirable.
