About the role:

We have an enticing residential Process Planner position awaiting you at the world class KCGM Operation that boasts a +10-year mine life. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed technical team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12-hour days) roster.

Here's what awaits you:

- Reporting to the Processing Superintendents. Review current team's technical capability. Identify training needs across team and determine plan to improve capability over time. The activities that are specifically to be completed or supervised are: Provide input into the development of the rolling weekly maintenance plan for approved work orders
- Assist in scheduling all routine maintenance activities in consultation with Maintenance including ensuring all information, materials and equipment are coordinated. Review and ensure priority align with task criticality and work management process. Plan and schedule the operational tasks for major plant shutdowns - this includes the required run down and ramp up activities, required permitting and isolation activities and plant cleaning activities.
- Ensure isolations and Permit of Isolations are checked and audited to provide adequate safety in regards to isolations, permits and HOP's. Conduct housekeeping duties removing any clutter or hazards. Identify and complete area continuous improvement opportunities. Conduct any other tasks as directed by your superintendent.
- Coach the team to improve safety performance by: Increasing capability in hazard awareness and identification and on the job risk management by spending time in the field. Employing the Safe Systems of Work principles and supporting the team with these behaviours. Spend adequate time with each member of the team to identify safety concerns. Working to improve team morale by positively engaging every member of the team on a regular basis.
- Follow escalation process to ensure that issues outside of normal operating boundaries are highlighted, understood and managed in a timely manner to minimise risk to the business and to ensure operational work groups are effectively supported. Plan and organise resources each day and work with services, operations and maintenance teams to conduct required plant isolations to minimise disruption of the processing plant. Complete a formal documented handover process with the incoming Process Planner.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Experience:

- Extensive operational knowledge of the Fimiston Processing plant is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the mining industry.
- Computer literacy - Microsoft Office, Micromine. Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
- Awareness of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.

Qualifications:

- Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
- St Johns Senior First Aid certificate (desirable).
