Job Title: Indigenous Health Specialist
About the Role:
The Child and Youth Mental Health Service is seeking an experienced Indigenous Health Specialist to join their multidisciplinary team. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the service to deliver high-quality child and youth mental health and alcohol and other drugs care to First Nation consumers and the community.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing culturally appropriate services, working collaboratively within the team setting, and contributing to Closing the Gap Key Performance Indicators. You will also play a vital role in supporting the service's mission to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment of emotional and mental health disorders in children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* To work in partnership with the Child and Youth Mental Health Service team to deliver high quality child and youth mental health and Alcohol and Other Drugs care.
* To contribute to Closing the Gap Key Performance Indicators as underpinned by Queensland Health.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care, Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs, or Mental Health Peer Work.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
* Demonstrated experience in delivering culturally appropriate services to First Nation consumers and the community.
