Teaching in Manufacturing Engineering
We are looking for an experienced engineer who can inspire the next generation of engineers.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of Level 5 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and will be able to teach a range of core units and specialist engineering units from level 3 to level 5.
The role involves performing scheduled teaching, preparing learning materials, marking students' work, liaising with awarding bodies, and conducting exam invigilation as required.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current developments within their specialist area and will be able to identify, interpret, and apply specific knowledge to practice.
They will also be able to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques and prepare effective written and visual teaching materials.
Requirements
* Minimum of Level 5 in a relevant specialist subject area
* Hold a teaching qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE, C&G 7407) or be willing to work towards gaining one
* Ability to identify, interpret, and apply specific knowledge to practice
* Demonstrates an understanding of current developments within own specialist area and ways of keeping up to date with such developments
* Recognises and makes students aware of their strengths and development needs
* Ability to develop and use a range of teaching and learning techniques and prepare effective written and visual teaching materials
