An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse who will providing support and education to other team members in this unit. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for the co-ordination of the clinic and providing direction to Registered Nurses and other non-registered nursing personnel.

The Multidisciplinary Preadmission Clinic (MDPAC) is a dynamic outpatient clinic that undertakes comprehensive assessment and health optimisation for patients undergoing elective surgery and other procedures at the Cairns Hospital.
About you:
In your new role you will……
* Provide effective and efficient clinical care in the Pre-Admission Clinic and work in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the maintenance of safe standards in patient care.
* Advanced clinical decision making in the screening of elective surgery patients and ability to identify pre-operative multidisciplinary appointment requirements.
* Effectively communicate at all levels across the organisation to promote effective team functioning.
