About the Role
The Customer Service Officer is responsible for providing quality customer service to all internal and external customers. They provide an advisory service to all customers in relation to the practices and procedures specific to each jurisdiction and in some areas provide direct support services to the Judiciary. The position undertakes a range of case management, information management and customer service tasks within a registry setting for civil and criminal jurisdictions and can also provide in court support to the judiciary. Applicants must also be able to learn how to interpret and apply legislation, policies, and procedures within the business areas they are employed.
Job duties include attending to enquiries either in person or by telephone; assessing and processing applications; lodging documents into the court database; liaising with the public, legal counsel, and court users; preparing and checking legal documents.
Eligibility
Permanent positions in the West Australian Public Sector require the applicant to be an Australian citizen or to have permanent resident status in Australia.
