About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Operations & Business Development Manager to lead and grow their multi-faceted business.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving business development, and managing a diverse team. You’ll play a key role in shaping strategy, improving processes, and expanding the customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
* Lead and optimise operations across manufacturing, retail, and catering divisions
* Manage inventory, logistics, and supply chain functions
* Drive team performance, labour cost control, and a positive workplace culture
* Ensure compliance with HACCP and quality control standards
* Implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs
Sales & Business Development
* Develop and execute strategies to grow sales and market share
* Build strong customer relationships and represent the brand
* Conduct feasibility studies for new products and market opportunities
* Oversee administration, debtor/creditor management, and sales optimisation
* Analyse performance data and propose strategic initiatives to the General Manager
* Lead capital investment projects from proposal to implementation
Workplace Safety & Compliance
* Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
* Ensure timely repairs and hazard management
* Enforce company policies and procedures across all teams
* Promote a culture of safety, hygiene, and accountability
About You:
You’re a confident leader with a strong background in operations and business development, ideally within the food or retail industry. You thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy building relationships, and have a strategic mindset with a hands-on approach.
