Are You the Right Fit?

In this pivotal role, you will be working with a team of other qualified sonographers and in liaison with radiology registrars and consultants, to provide a high-level ultrasound service in accordance with shift requirements and on-call basis. We have ongoing trainee sonographer programs of which you can be involved in for training and supervision. The role provides an opportunity to scan a varied range of interesting examinations with a predominance of:

* Abdominal scans and HCC surveillances.
* Gynaecological scans on routine and emergency basis.
* Paediatric ultrasound.
* Small parts, some MSK.
* Regular neonatal intensive care scanning.
* Obstetric scans.
* Rotation in foetomaternal unit for upskilling and added job satisfaction.
* Rotation in general radiography to address injury management as appropriate.

Selection Criteria

To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.

1. Degree in Medical Radiation Science from a recognised University or qualification deemed appropriate by AHPRA Medical Radiation Practitioner Board to be equivalent is essential, as well as a recognised post graduate diploma in Medical Sonography.
2. Holds a current and valid AHPRA Registration, NSW EPA Radiation Licence and registration with ASAR.
3. Demonstrated experience and clinical knowledge in General Radiography and Ultrasound.
4. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with hospital staff, private referrers, patients and carers.
