We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Australasia leadership team. Reporting to the General Manager – Australasia (with a dotted line to the Head of HR APAC), this stand alone yet highly visible role supports a global engineering organisation known for its strong values, people-first culture, and commitment to safety and technical excellence.
This position is ideal for an experienced HR Advisor or Business Partner ready to move into a senior role and make a meaningful impact on the ANZ region.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, talent management, performance management, disciplinary procedures, and succession planning.
Oversee payroll operations under an outsourced model, managing third-party providers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.
Provide strategic HR leadership as part of the Senior Management Team, contributing to workforce planning, headcount management, and organisational strategy.
Drive employee engagement and culture, promoting inclusion, equity, wellbeing, and cultural change initiatives across the region.
Implement and support Group-wide HR initiatives, including Talent Management processes, management excellence programs, and HRIS system rollout.
Coordinate performance, compensation, and benchmarking processes, ensuring alignment with Group procedures and market practices.
Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and company HR policies and procedures, including injury management and workers' compensation.
Prepare and deliver HR reporting to internal and external stakeholders, providing insights to support decision-making.
Collaborate and communicate effectively across all departments, writing reports and working as part of a team to achieve regional HR objectives.
Qualifications
Degree qualified in Human Resources, Psychology, or Business Administration.
8+ years of HR business partnering experience, including exposure to local leadership and strategic decision-making.
Strong understanding of Australia and New Zealand employment legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant laws.
Experienced with Australian payroll processes, including outsourced models and payroll provider management.
Proven track record in employee engagement, workforce planning, and talent management initiatives.
Demonstrated experience in HR analytics and data-driven insights will be highly regarded.
