The team
The Personnel Security team sits within ASIC's Protective Security function in the Chief Risk Office (CRO). The team ensures that ASIC personnel are suitable to access sensitive and classified information, supports security investigations and contributes to a holistic protective security framework aligned with the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
The role
As a Personnel Security Analyst, you will be accountable for:
* Conducting personnel security assessments, including criminal history, financial and character checks in line with ASIC and Government policy
* Undertaking information collection activities, including internal and external database searches and vetting triage
* Analysing information from varied sources to identify risks and make recommendations
* Delivering assessment services in accordance with agreed KPIs and service level agreements
* Supporting Protective Security operations, including administrative tasks, audits and reporting

You Will Have
* Relevant qualifications or experience in security, vetting, investigations, public safety, risk, or emergency services
* Experience conducting checks, data searches or managing sensitive information
* Strong analytical capability and the ability to interpret varied information sources
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage competing priorities, meet strict timeframes and complete mandatory training (including Personnel Security Cert IV)
