About the Role
Our busy ophthalmology practice in Norwest is seeking a full time Visual Care Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have a professional and caring attitude.
The primary objective of this position is to provide support to our ophthalmologists and assist in the clinics running smoothly.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills in patient care and clinic management.
Key Responsibilities
* Clinical assessment of patients prior to them seeing the ophthalmologist. This includes taking patient medical and ocular history.
* Perform diagnostic testing including A-scans, Visual fields, OCTs, Pentacams.
* Assist with minor procedures and intravitreal injections.
* Manage surgical lists.
* Stocking of rooms and sterilisation.
* Assist with administration duties as required.
