The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) is the peak body for youth justice and child protection in Queensland. Along with our 38 member organisations and partners, we are committed to creating positive futures for children, young people, families and communities.

About the role
The Delegated Authority Program Manager will resource, support, advocate and strengthen the capacity and capability of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled Child and Family servicesand communities to implement Delegated Authority across Queensland by leading the development, implementation, and project management of the strategic blueprint to implement Delegated Authority.
Typical Duties and responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of and relationships with QATSICPP member organisations key stakeholders and partners including the relevant Government departments
* Provide high level program management advice and direction.
* Provide leadership to the work unit, including the management of staff and resources allocated to achieve strategic and project outcomes, to primarily achieve delegated authority.
* Coordinate day-to-day operations to deliver on project outcomes.
* Lead the development and implementation of quality systems and procedures to ensure the effective coordination of responses to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
* community-controlled Child and Family services, internal and external stakeholder.
* Provide advice regarding emerging issues, strategic opportunities, and challenges in relation to Delegated Authority.
* Provide high level liaison, consultation, and negotiation with internal and external. stakeholders towards the development and implementation of the strategic blueprint for Delegated Authority.
* Other duties as requested by the Deputy CEO and Executive Leadership Team
Desired skills, experience, and capabilities:
* Ability to project manage and develop system redesign to support the rollout of the Strategic Blueprint.
* A strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities and the issues which impact upon them in contemporary society together with a commitment to culturally appropriate engagement and practice.
* Strong knowledge of Child protection history
Mandatory requirements:
* Bachelor qualification and/or Postgraduate in related field is highly desirable or extensive experience in child protection practice
* A current valid Queensland Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or eligible to apply.
* Current Queensland Drivers Licence.
