Job Description
Primary Responsibility: Under general supervision, the Warehouse Laborer will manually move freight, stock, and other materials. The Warehouse Worker will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food and non-food products.
What You'll Do
* Manually load and unload freight in temperature-controlled warehouse and other locations as directed by management.
* Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate area.
* Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped.
* Check or count freight for accuracy, damage, or infestation.
* Assist in maintaining warehouse security.
* Conduct operations promoting safety.
* Participate in physical inventories as needed.
* Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking.
* Comply with OSHA standards and company safety procedures.
* Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
* Perform other duties as assigned, possibly outside normal responsibilities.
Experience and Education
* High school diploma or GED preferred.
Preferred Skills
* Ability to work independently.
* Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and early mornings.
* Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
* Willingness to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed.
* Ability to interact well with others and respond to feedback.
* Tools and Technology: Computer skills.
Physical Requirements
* Work in spaces with 55 inches of headroom.
* Tolerance for environments with temperatures from –15°F to outside conditions.
* Access elevated products up to 30 ft. and tolerate heights safely.
* Stand for up to 5 hours, lift boxes up to 55 lbs., and carry products over distances.
