As AECOM is awarded further exciting projects across a diverse industry base, a diverse opportunity is available for an Associate Director (Mechanical Engineering) join our Building Services Team within our Buildings + Places group in our busy Melbourne office.
As an Associate Director in our Building Services team, you will:
* Coordinate and provide technical expertise for mid- large-size projects.
* Lead technical client relationships and plays a major role in selling.
* Lead discipline department efforts to grow technical expertise.
* Lead technical business development work.
* Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
* Approve and sign off on designs.
* Lead in one or more areas of technology.
* Provide estimates for the engineering budget and schedule a to meet requirements on large, complex projects.
Minimum Requirements
* Appropriate tertiary qualification Mechanical or other Building Services Discipline
* Proven ability to lead and manage technical engineering designs for Mechanical building services components of major Commercial, Healthcare, Infrastructure and Education projects.
* Carry out, and lead, technical engineering duties to ensure quality and systems/process requirements are achieved
* Preparation of, calculations, drawings, specification, cost estimation, technical reports and details/ schedules for projects.
* Liaise and present to Mechanical l engineering technical team
* Mentor and assist junior engineers in the business
* Client liaison and presentation of the design processes
* Appropriate recognised industry/professional body accreditation/membership
* Leadership skills focusing on project and technical leadership, but also including human relations, team building, innovation, and motivation skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Mechanical Engineering background with usually 10-15 years in total experience since graduation, highly advantageous.
* CPEng or working towards CPEng, highly desirable.
