We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced Trainer and Assessor for CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting & Decorating.
**Key Responsibilities**
Following are the key areas of responsibility for the Trainer and Assessor
- CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting & Decorating:
- Provide academic leadership.
- Provide quality teaching to students in a face-to-face environment.
- Delivery of courses/units and syllabus effectively and as required.
- Deliver assigned courses in the classroom environment or in the
Workshop.
- Effectively utilise and recommend academic resources to assist student learning.
- Facilitate individual and group learning activities in accordance with
training schedules.
- Maintain training records in the prescribed manner.
- Monitor, mark, and conduct student assessments in accordance with Standards and Checklists.
- Monitoring student activity and ensuring they are provided with support for satisfactory course progress.
- Maintaining accurate and reliable attendance and assessment records for all students.
- Participate in moderation/validation sessions as required.
- Review and update assessments in consultation with the Academic Manager/Principal.
- Liaison with Community Services Agencies and conduct workplace visits for Observations.
- Provide support to students who may be running behind in their course.
- Mark any pending assessments from previous units.
- Maintain and provide records of industry currency.
- Adhering to the requirements of the Standards for RTOs 2015 in all aspects of training and assessment delivery
- Adhere to all SCSB policies and procedures.
**Selection Criteria:**
To become part of the SCSB team as VET Trainer and Assessor
- CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting & Decorating, the successful applicant should possess the following:
- CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting & Decorating qualification.
- Minimum 6 months post-qualification experience in the above industry as Trainer & Assessor.
- Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent.
- High level of written and oral communication skills in English and proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational, industrial, or community environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service and demonstrated ability to contribute to a team environment.
- Flexible, energetic, and enthusiastic about training and education.
- Work experience in teaching international students is highly appreciated.
- Ability to easily mix well with others and satisfactorily carry out tasks in liaison with colleagues.
- Must maintain currency in the relevant industry sector.
