Senior Mental Health Specialist Role
We are seeking an experienced mental health professional to support individuals, families and groups in regional and remote communities through the delivery of evidence-based interventions and case management.
* Deliver high-quality care coordination and intake services, including assessment and intervention planning.
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote client outcomes and service engagement.
* Develop and maintain accurate clinical records, upholding confidentiality and contributing to quality improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide expert mental health support to clients across all age groups.
2. Travel regularly to isolated communities to provide in-person support and referrals within the stepped care framework.
3. Conduct regular risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks in consultation with supervisors.
Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualification in mental health social work, psychology or credentialled mental health nursing.
* Minimum five years' experience supporting individuals with mental health issues in a clinical setting.
* Strong understanding of challenges faced by rural and remote communities, as well as excellent clinical skills in assessment and intervention planning.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve positive client outcomes.
