Our client provides specialised run-of-mine and longwall equipment essential to supporting the underground coal mining sector. Due to recent movements within the company, an opportunity for an accounts officer has now arisen.
Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Maintaining accurate financial records in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB)
* Processing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Performing bank reconciliations and managing cash flow
* Managing general invoicing and reconciliation
* Assisting with payroll functions as required
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will possess the following:
* Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Business (advantageous but not essential)
* Previous experience in an accounts/finance administration role (2+ years preferred)
* Strong understanding of financial processes and Australian accounting standards
* Proficiency with accounting software (experience with Xero highly desirable)
* Professional communication skills and a proactive attitude
* Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
