Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Senior Claims Service Consultant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining knowledge of current legislation and how it impacts claims management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply sound judgment and decision-making skills to all claims, consistently making liability decisions of increasing complexity at claims lodgement and throughout the life of the claim.
* Support capability development by coaching less experienced team members.
* Manage a portfolio of claims from validation to finalisation within prescribed authority levels, ensuring that clients are kept informed as per communication requirements.
* Review claims and authorise payments for other team members within allocated authority, ensuring adherence to standards to minimise leakage and increased cost of claim.
About the Role
As a Senior Claims Service Consultant, you will be responsible for:
* Handling large loss claims with at least 3 years of experience.
* Meeting specific technical capability and competence standards required for professional progression.
* Managing highly complex claims management processes and procedures across various general insurance product lines in a complex, matrixed organisation.
