Job Description:
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Storeperson to oversee and streamline our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, be able to work autonomously with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and safety in handling and distribution. As part of our hands‐on team, you may also assist with deliveries and off‐site installations when required. The Store person will report directly to the Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of warehouse operations, picking orders, receiving and unloading truck deliveries, inventory management and order fulfillment.
* Prepare next-day orders in the dispatch area for driver collection.
* Manage and process bookings through third-party freight systems (Metrans, Border Express, and Couriers Please).
* Develop and implement efficient warehouse procedures and practices.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised work environment.
* Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and coordinate with Operations Manager to replenish stock as needed.
* Communicate with Management to ensure timely and accurate order processing and delivery.
* Report to the Operations Manager on warehouse performance and operational issues.
Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Store person or similar role, preferably in the commercial cleaning or related industry.
* Able to safely lift up to 25kg and physically fit to handle stock and meet the role's manual handling requirements.
* Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and best practices.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to analyse and solve problems effectively.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software.
* Forklift certification (Essential)
* Experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus.
* Car license (Essential) Manual License is a plus.
