About Your New Role As the Head of Business Development, you will report directly to the Chief Retail Officer and be responsible for identifying and evaluating new markets, partners, channels, and customers. You will be instrumental in driving your own sales and leading the way by role modelling to propel growth within your team. You will coach and mentor by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities that align with Fantastic's business priorities. This is a high impact and results driven role that will see you directly contributing to future growth and exciting new business opportunities. This role will involve travel as required.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Business Development
* Develop and execute strategic sales and growth plans aligned with business priorities.
* Identify and pursue new revenue streams to drive sustainable revenue growth.
* Build and maintain a strong, high-performing B2B sales pipeline.
* Lead B2B project consultation and develop structured B2B client buying programs.
* Oversee acquisition campaigns, sales materials, and go-to-market strategies.
* Lead financial feasibility analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
* Implement process improvements to enhance sales effectiveness and operational performance.
* Support contract negotiations, pricing models, and commercial proposals.
Leadership & Team Development
* Lead, coach, and mentor the business development and sales team.
* Foster a high-performing, collaborative, and customer-centric team culture.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Drive innovation through collaboration on product, marketing, and delivery initiatives.
* Support project management and cross-departmental alignment on business priorities.

Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in business development leadership or a related role
* Proven track record of achieving business growth and hitting KPIs
* Experience leading teams in B2B projects cross-functionally
* Strong networking skills and ability to build strategic partnerships
* Demonstrated success in sales, marketing, and growth strategy development
* Ability to present confidently to executive stakeholders
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in business, economics, commerce, marketing, or a related field is desirable
* Experience with B2B digital marketing tools and strategies
Technical Skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and in the use of CRM programs (data tracking, reporting, pipeline management)
* Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts and commercial awareness
* Budgeting and forecasting
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including data interpretation and reporting skills
