We are seeking a skilled Field Service Fitter to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to provide technical support to our customers in the region. Reporting to the Service Manager in Launceston, you will be responsible for diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services for our customer's equipment in Hobart and surrounding areas.
Main Responsibilities
1. Providing on-site technical support on Hitachi equipment, including diagnostics, repair, and maintenance;
2. Building and maintaining excellent rapport with our customer base in the region;
3. Completing and submitting all relevant paperwork;
4. Conducting work in compliance with all quality and safety standards and procedures.
Requirements
* A minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent (Diesel Mechanic); Commercial Vehicle trades considered;
* Proven experience as a heavy diesel mechanic with earthmoving/heavy machinery;
* OEM equipment experience is highly regarded;
* Current driver's license;
* Ability to work independently and proactively resolve technical issues;
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills;
* Strong commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies.
