We're delivering for the environment, for our communities, for our customers and for our people. We're moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.
About the opportunity
The Group Sustainability Office is Australia Post's centre of excellence for sustainability, driving positive environmental, social and economic outcomes, while improving transparency, accountability and performance across the enterprise.
Reporting to the Head of Circularity & Decarbonisation, you will design and deliver practical circularity and resource management programs that work in the real world. This is not a desktop strategy role. It is about driving real adoption and results across diverse business units, sites and operational contexts.
You will work closely with internal teams across operations, property, procurement and corporate functions, helping them adopt smarter, more circular ways of working, supported by data, systems and emerging AI-enabled tools.
What you'll deliver with us
* Design and deliver enterprise scale circularity and resource initiatives that are integrated into core operations and ways of working
* Act as a subject matter expert on circular economy and resource management, guiding teams from concept through to implementation and handover
* Plan and manage initiative delivery, including scope, deliverables, schedules, risks, dependencies and adoption measures to ensure practical implementation at scale
* Partner with business units to identify opportunities to reduce environmental impacts, improve material efficiency and eliminate avoidable waste
* Generate clear evidence, reporting and proof points that demonstrate credible progress against sustainability targets
* Strengthen Australia Post's position as a credible circular economy leader and enabler for customers, partners and the broader community
* Work closely with colleagues across the Group Sustainability Office to ensure aligned execution, performance tracking and messaging
About you
You are a circular economy practitioner who thrives on turning ambition into action and delivering sustained change in large, complex organisations. You're motivated by scale, systems and real-world delivery, and energised by the role digital and AI-enabled tools can play in accelerating impact.
You'll also need
Proven experience delivering circularity, sustainability or resource programs across multiple sites or business units, from design through to sustained adoption across the organisation
A strong AI and digital mindset, with experience designing, integrating and automating workflows to drive scale, improve consistency, and support better decision making and adoption with appropriate governance
Strong data literacy, with the ability to generate insights that support practical actions and improve resource outcomes
Experience creating and scaling new ways of working, combining practical tools, capability uplift and smart systems to drive meaningful change across the organisation
A strong reputation as a trusted communicator and influencer, able to engage at all levels of the organisation, build genuine buy-in, and partner effectively to solve real world challenges
A pragmatic delivery focus, comfortable working through complexity, operating independently with pace, and aligning day-to-day execution to broader organisational priorities
