Expect to work closely as a trusted advisor with State Government Departments, providing valuable advice and services that address complex problems and seize significant opportunities facing Western Australia.
Our government clients will depend on you and your team to help address 'front-page' and 'big-ticket' issues related to social and economic infrastructure and critical supporting services.
Your role will involve commercial and financial advisory services, as well as strategy and project/transaction management.
You will also make a meaningful impact on the economy, environment, and quality of life for West Australians, considering these elements along with public risks, costs, benefits, and opportunities in your work.
Your work could span the entire project lifecycle, from policy development and business case creation to procurement, implementation, and delivery.
You might find yourself : Collaborating with and supporting government and stakeholders in making investment decisions across health, education, transport, ICT, social infrastructure, and housing programs.
Providing advice on emerging industries and growth areas to diversify the state's economy.
Undertaking strategic analyses to determine locations for ports or sports stadiums.
Analyzing health and education infrastructure performance and future needs using advanced tools and technologies.
Working with diverse teams to manage international tenders involving major global companies, negotiating public outcomes and value for money from complex service contracts.
Performing commercial and financial analyses, designing frameworks like performance and payment arrangements, and developing procurement strategies.
Leading or supporting the delivery and management of large-scale construction projects.

You will have : A strong desire to make impactful contributions through your work.
An interest in public sector economics, finance, social drivers of government investment, or major industrial sectors such as energy, transport, logistics, and defense.
Experience or interest in quantitative and qualitative analysis to support decision-making.
Excellent communication skills, capable of preparing diverse documents and tailoring messages for different audiences, including technical reports, executive briefings, and stakeholder engagement materials.
A positive, collaborative, problem-solving approach.
A desire to learn and develop professionally.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead diverse teams.
A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Economics, Econometrics, Public Policy, Commerce, Law, Finance, or Engineering).

You may also have : Experience in the public sector, procurement, infrastructure delivery, financial/economic modeling, contract design, or consulting.
Experience in industrial sectors like energy, defense, property, transport, or logistics.
Experience managing diverse teams to meet project goals.

Strong quantitative analysis skills.
