**Purpose**
The primary objectives of this position are:
- The management of inventory across CHW's operational sites including on-site underground fuel
storage.
- Maintain CHW's physical security system and accesses.
- To deliver effective and efficient procurement of goods and services in line with CHW's program of work,
policies, and procedures.
- Work with internal customers and external suppliers to leverage best procurement outcomes for the
business.
The role will have the authority to undertake sourcing and supply arrangements within the delegations of the role.
**Key Duties/Responsibilities**
**Stores**
- Participate in the review and assessment of equipment and tools to ensure that the correct type and
quantity is on hand.
- Set and maintain efficient and effective stock levels in accordance with operational requirements and
Network Field Services planning determinations and other business requirements.
- Liaise with CHW departments for providing materials for capital and maintenance projects.
- Ensure inventory stocktakes are completed on time and ensure compliance to the relevant audits.
- Manage the logistics required in receiving storing and supplying materials, tools and equipment.
- Organise the disposal by action of scrap materials, pipe fittings, equipment and tools including waste
toner cartridges and batteries that are surplus to the needs of the business in line with the disposal of
assets procedure.
- Drive business efficiency and effectiveness and continuous improvement in the replacement of plant
and equipment and inventory and purchasing system.
**Purchasing**
- Purchasing goods and services within the requestion and purchase order system in line with CHW
procurement policy and process.
- In conjunction with the Resource, Plant and Equipment Officer identify requirements for equipment and
tools.
- Monitor and review requesting and financial systems, CHW policy requirements and training of CHW
staff in its use.
- Source and negotiate pricing arrangements with suppliers in accordance with government and CHW
procurement policies either through the preferred method of established contracts or by individual
negotiation or request for quote.
**Facilities**
- Oversee and co-ordinate tasks in the stores and yard areas.
- Maintain on-site underground fuel storage, including the processing of the monthly fuel tax credits for
CHW.
**Security**
- Maintain staff security access including creating and deleting staff ID cards.
- At the discretion of Management review CCTV footage of any incidents.
- Run scheduled and ad hoc reports as required.
- Liaise with Contractor for any maintenance issues.
**Safety**
- Responsible for organising and the planning of a safe and compliant store area, following work practices
as set out in the Corporation's Safety Management System.
- Ensure all MSDS data sheets relating to inventory are available.
- Foster a 'safety first' culture that supports CHW's aspiration of 'zero harm.
**General**
