**Position overview**
ANU has an international reputation for research and education relevant to the health and well-being of the population of Australia, as well as that of the developing world. This is achieved through discovery research, applied research in health service settings, research-led teaching in health and medical sciences, and the translation of research findings into practice and policy. The ANU College of Health and Medicine comprises the School of Medicine and Psychology, the John Curtin School of Medical Research and the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health. These schools work together to deliver world-class research and education across the spectrum of medicine and health-related fields, working in partnership with the health sector at local, national and international levels.
The John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR) is a multi-disciplinary institute with strong research activity and a distinguished history in Cancer Research, Immunology, Genomics and Neuroscience. The Administration Manager will provide high level operational and administrative support to the School Manager whilst also providing leadership to the School's student administration and purchasing staff.
The Administration Manager works under the broad direction of the School Manager supporting the strategic operational and administrative goals of the school, and more broadly the College and the University. The Administration Manager leads the day to day administrative functions and works closely with academic and professional staff to provide high level administrative, financial and project management support to the school, and plays a crucial role in liaising with staff, students, external stakeholders, and other functions within Science Administration
