Job Title: Advanced Neurosurgical Nurse Specialist
Description:
This role presents a unique opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art Neurosurgical Unit, providing expert clinical leadership and direction to improve the quality and continuity of care for Neurosurgical patients.
* As an Advanced Neurosurgical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, client education, and health promotion to individuals with tracheostomies, as well as supporting the multidisciplinary team to provide timely assessment, expert advice, and management of Neurosurgery patients.
* You will lead the specialist consultancy service for tracheostomy management across the acute phases of care, ensuring seamless collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement evidence-based strategies to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care.
2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care planning and coordination.
3. Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to tracheostomy management.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated advanced level of clinical expertise in Neurosurgical nursing.
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
* Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (WWCR).
* Current Driver's Licence.
