Relocators is seeking a strategic and hands-on Manager to lead the operational management of our National fleet. This is a pivotal role in our service delivery network, responsible for ensuring our fleet is safe, efficient, compliant, and scalable to meet growing business demands.
The Transport Company Manager will oversee daily transport operations, ensuring smooth coordination between clients, drivers, and dispatch. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, vehicle management, and ensuring all deliveries are completed on time and to standard.
You'll be the key interface between Operations, Maintenance, Finance, and Compliance — driving performance, cost control, and continuous improvement across all aspects of business management.
Key Responsibilities :
* Coordinate daily operations between clients, drivers, and dispatch teams
* Plan and monitor transport routes and delivery schedules
* Ensure all vehicles are maintained, serviced, and roadworthy
* Supervise driver performance, fleet allocation, and route efficiency
* Manage logistics planning and load distribution to meet deadlines
* Address and resolve delivery or operational issues promptly
* Engage with suppliers and contractors to ensure service quality and responsiveness.
* Maintain up-to-date vehicle, driver, and compliance records
* Promote safety and regulatory compliance across all operations
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance fleet efficiency
Skills and Experience :
* Degree or Diploma in Management, Logistics, or related field
* Previous experience in fleet management, transport coordination, or logistics
* Experience with continuous improvement in logistics and operational processes
* Local area knowledge around Tasmania — including key routes, regional transport networks, and logistics hubs — is highly desirable
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
* High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
* Knowledge of transport regulations and scheduling systems
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Valid driver's licence with good driving history
