About the Role
We are partnering with a growing managed services provider to hire a Level 3 Systems Engineer to join their high-performing Assist Team.
This role will see you operating as a senior escalation point across complex infrastructure and security environments, while also playing a key role in technical leadership, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
You'll work across a broad range of Microsoft, virtualisation, and network technologies, supporting enterprise clients while mentoring junior engineers and driving best practice across the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Level 3 support across systems, infrastructure, and network environments
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents across Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, M365, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL)
* Support and manage virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
* Maintain and support Citrix environments (Virtual Apps, Desktops, Netscaler, WEM)
* Deliver network-level support across WAN/LAN, firewalls, routing, and connectivity
* Act as a senior escalation point for L1/L2 engineers and assist with critical incident resolution
* Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates, managing expectations, and ensuring service quality
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in a Level 3 Systems / Infrastructure Engineer role
* Deep expertise across Microsoft environments (Windows Server, M365, Azure)
* Experience with virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V) and Citrix technologies
* Experience with endpoint management (Intune, Autopilot)
* Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell highly desirable)
* Exposure to security frameworks and tools (Defender, Secure Score, etc.)
* Proven experience in a managed services or client-facing environment
Certifications (Desirable)
* Microsoft Certifications (AZ-104, MS-500, M365 Expert)
* Security certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISM, etc.)
* Other relevant infrastructure or cloud certifications

* Experience working in MSP or multi-client environments
* Comfortable mentoring others and leading technical initiatives
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
