The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Manager to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
In this key role, you will be responsible for the financial management and compliance of employee share plan trusts. Reporting to the Head of Trustee Services, you will oversee trust accounting, financial reporting, audit coordination, ATO liaison, and ensure strong governance across a portfolio of trust structures.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end trust accounting, including monthly trial balances and reconciliations
* Review and ensure accurate recording of trustee transactions (e.g. share allocations, dividends, tax payments)
* Oversee preparation and review of trust financial statements in accordance with regulatory and audit standards
* Coordinate external audits, respond to auditor queries, and prepare supporting documentation
* Ensure accurate and up-to-date trust records across multiple trusts
* Review trust income tax returns, BAS, and PAYG statements; ensure all lodgements and obligations are met
* Liaise with internal teams (legal, tax, client services) and external advisors (auditors, tax agents)
* Monitor regulatory compliance and contribute to process improvement initiatives
* Provide guidance and support to junior members of the trustee team
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
* Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, with 2+ years in a trustee, funds, or financial services environment
Skills & Attributes
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel
* Experience with employee share plans highly regarded
* Organised, proactive, and capable of managing deadlines under pressure
* A team player who leads by example, takes accountability, and remains positive in challenging situations
