We have an exciting opportunity for a driven Site Supervisor to join and explore opportunities within the recycling and production industry.
As a hands on, highly self-motivated and proactive supervisor, you understand and believe in the importance of leading your team in a very proactive and visible way.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- The role of the Site Supervisor is to support the site in overseeing the
OHS&E of employees and visitors and demonstrating appropriate Safety Leadership behaviours.
- Coordinate and execute production targets in line with the Company's KPI, s and Budget.
- Develop and execute process improvements that will result in improved up time and cost reductions.
- Manage a team of production staff in achieving a culture of safety first aiming for a zero-injury rate.
- Working with other key operational personnel, develop and implement improvement action plans that will drive continuous improvement regarding plant reliability and site systems of work
- Continuously assisting with driving cost reduction programs within the business and ensuring lowest costs are achieved.
- Ensuring internal and external customer relationships and being maintained by assisting in resolving issues as they may arise.
- Maintaining Production organisational and housekeeping standards
**You must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following key areas**:
**Safety**
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment ensuring compliance with all systems and procedures.
- Maintain an excellent standard of housekeeping.
- Ensure all environmental systems and procedures are maintained.
- Ensure all team and visitors adhere to the PPE and safety rules of the site.
- Incident and Injury management.
**Budget & Cost Control**
- Assist in cost control of the R&M expenditure in line with KPI's and budget.
- Ongoing tracking of R&M spend.
- Ensuring appropriate documentation is completed for all relative activities in the Production and maintenance department.
**Personnel Management**
- Provide leadership, direction and support to the Production and maintenance teams to ensure resources and skills are available to achieve the desired budgeted results.
- Assist with the training and development of new and existing members of the Production department, ensuring alignment with company values and best practice.
- Assist in dealing with employee relations issue as they arise to achieve a satisfactory outcome for all involved.
**Quality Control**
- Work with site Manager to achieve < 10% contamination.
- Ensure the Carrara site is appropriately compliant through best practice maintenance techniques
**Qualifications and/or Skills**
- Previous roles in a supervisor or Leadership role.
- Ability to clearly describe a scope of work and desired outcome to others.
- Work Experience leading a team in a process manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills, active listening skills
- A Strong focus on training and development of your team.
- Computer Skill: Microsoft Office, Gmail, SAP.
- Current forklift and or front-end loader experience (desirable)
- EWP License (desirable)
- Accounting / Financial Skills (desirable)
- Work experience within a change management environment (desirable)
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills (desirable)
- Cert IV in workplace health and safety (desirable)
