Offer description

We're on a mission to make good health last a lifetime. More than 1 billion people live with obesity worldwide, driving preventable chronic conditions. We're here to build better long‐term care.

Euc is the company behind Juniper, one of the world's largest weight‐management programs that combines GLP‐1 medication with personalised nutrition, movement support, and clinician‐led care from prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists, and dietitians. Our published clinical research shows that our combined clinical and behavioural approach helps patients lose significantly more weight during their treatment with Juniper by four times.

About Eucalyptus

Founded in Australia in 2019, Eucalyptus (or 'Euc' for short) is a digital healthcare company tackling chronic conditions such as weight loss, diabetes, and mental health. We have helped over 500 K patients globally by combining technology, design, and operational excellence to help patients access the best clinical support whenever they need it.

Our portfolio of brands – Juniper, Pilot, Kin, and Software – focuses on personalising the experience for different demographics and is powered by a growing team across five countries (Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, and the Philippines). We've raised more than AUD 150 M in funding from investors who were early backers of Uber, Canva and Airbnb, and we plan to launch into new markets, conditions and geographies.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced and strategic Payroll Manager to lead the global payroll function and manage compensation operations across our international footprint. In this critical role, you'll ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll execution across six countries for over 500 employees, both through direct employment and Employer of Record (EOR) models.

You'll lead a team of four direct reports working cross‐functionally with Finance, People, Legal, and external partners to build scalable processes and deliver a consistent employee experience worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead Global Payroll Operations – manage the end‐to‐end payroll process across Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan, the Philippines, and South Africa, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local tax, labor, and regulatory requirements.
* Manage & Develop a High‐Performing Team – coach and develop a team of four payroll and compensation specialists, fostering continuous improvement and accountability.
* Oversee EOR & Direct Employment Payrolls – ensure smooth payroll execution across both direct employment and EOR models, working closely with third‐party providers and internal stakeholders to maintain data integrity and service quality.
* Compensation Compliance & Reporting – stay current on global and local employment laws, statutory reporting requirements, and tax regulations; manage audits and risk mitigation across jurisdictions.
* Process Optimization & Automation – identify and implement process improvements to increase payroll accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, leveraging technology and automation where possible.
* Cross‐Functional Collaboration – work closely with People, Finance, Legal, and external vendors to ensure alignment, data integrity, and seamless employee lifecycle processes.
* Compensation Insights & Benchmarking – support global compensation benchmarking, salary review processes, and total rewards strategy with relevant payroll and compensation data.

What You'll Bring

* 6+ years of progressive experience in global payroll and compensation management, with exposure to multiple countries and employment models.
* Demonstrated experience managing payroll operations across multiple geographies, including Australia, UK, Germany, Japan, Philippines, and South Africa.
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing remote teams.
* Deep understanding of international payroll compliance, employment tax, and statutory benefits.
* Experience working with EOR providers and understanding of employment models across multiple jurisdictions.
* Proficiency with payroll platforms and systems (Deel, Employment Hero), HRIS platforms (e.g. BambooHR), and Excel.
* High attention to detail, confidentiality, and a process‐oriented mindset.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and cultures.

Why You Should Join Euc

* Passionate Team – Our talent bar is high and our work ethic is strong. You'll get to stretch yourself every day and work alongside people who deeply care about our patients.
* Flexible & Supportive – We offer a range of leave options (sick, maternity/paternity, compassionate, vacation, personal health days), a reliable health insurance provider, statutory benefits, a 13th‐month pay, and a transportation allowance for our Makati office.
* Career Investment – You'll have access to an annual professional development budget, additional leave credits, mentors, and regular performance and pay reviews as you grow.
* Fast‐Paced Environment – You'll work with teammates who build in the open and iterate quickly, delivering high‐quality outcomes faster than our competitors.

We're making good health last a lifetime.
