About the Job
As a Customer Service Officer, you'll be the first point of contact for passengers, providing seamless check-in and boarding experiences.
This role requires someone who can stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly, and deliver solutions with a positive attitude.
Your work will include:
Assisting passengers with check-in, boarding passes, and baggage
Providing support to passengers with special assistance needs
Directing passengers safely to gates and boarding areas
Handling missing baggage enquiries and basic admin tasks
Representing the airline and Star to the highest standard
We're looking for someone who is resilient and adaptable, with strong communication skills and a natural ability to solve problems.
You'll need to remain calm in busy situations, work well in a team, and bring a professional and empathetic approach to every interaction.
Skills and Experiences
A valid Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) – or ability to obtain one
Experience with Aviation/Airline industry – desirable
A valid driver's licence to commute to work
Ability to perform all duties at a high standard of customer service
Caring approach to dealing with people
Clear communication and good interpersonal skills
Excellent organisation and time-management skills
Strong ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines
Customer focus to deliver exceptional service
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations
Able to work well in a fast-paced team environment
Highly personable and able to communicate and influence a diverse range of stakeholders
Manual handling procedures knowledge
Conflict resolution skills
Proficient in report writing, in plain and clear English
Intermediate skills for Microsoft Office Suite
Awareness of the importance of achieving on-time performance goals in an efficient and safe manner
