Overview
Senior System Integration Engineer – On Board. Based in Sydney, Australia. This role focuses on development, testing, and integration of onboard signalling systems for rail projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in Australia, Japan and Italy to deliver high-quality, reliable, and compliant signalling solutions.
Responsibilities
* Support the development and integration of onboard signalling systems, including Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Operation (ATO), and Train Control Management Systems (TCMS).
* Conduct system analysis, simulations, and testing to validate performance and safety of onboard signalling systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during development, testing, and commissioning phases.
* Prepare technical documentation, such as test specifications and test reports.
* Support installation, commissioning, and testing of onboard signalling systems in integrated lab environments and on-site.
* Provide technical support to customers and stakeholders during project execution.
* Manage technical interfaces with external interfaces including other system suppliers and system integrators.
* Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to contribute to innovation in onboard signalling systems.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aeronautics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in design, validation and verification, testing or integration of onboard signalling systems or similar rail systems.
* Understanding of railway signalling principles, protocols, and standards.
* Experience in ETCS/CBTC system integration.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
* Willingness to travel for on-site assignments and project support.
