About the Role
We're seeking dedicated female Disability Support Workers to join our supportive team in Baulkham Hills. In this role, you'll assist a group of clients with intellectual disabilities who live together in a shared home. They enjoy engaging in creative and sensory activities, cooking, spending time with loved ones and getting out into the community. You'll be a key part of helping them achieve greater independence and joy in their daily lives.
Responsibilities
* Deliver active support aligned with each client's goals and support plan.
* Assist with daily personal care tasks (e.g., toileting, showering, dressing).
* Use safe manual handling techniques in accordance with individual plans.
* Facilitate community access and transport using Unisson vehicles or public transport.
* Build trusted relationships with clients, families and external stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate documentation, reports and records.
* Work collaboratively within a close-knit team.
* Respond appropriately to incidents in line with Unisson and NDIS guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Willing to work active night and sleepover shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
* Hold a valid NSW Driver's Licence (P2/full) and are confident driving Unisson vehicles.
* Energetic, compassionate, and emotionally resilient.
* Experienced in disability support (preferred).
* Experience with challenging behaviours and behavioural plans.
* Qualified with Cert III/IV in Disability (desirable).
* All employees must have or be willing to obtain:
o NSW Driver's Licence (P2/Full)
o First Aid Certificate
o NDIS Worker Screening Check
o Working With Children Check (if required for the role)
