The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager IT to lead the delivery of IT projects and operational services across GeelongPort. This is a pivotal role driving technology-enabled change, managing the full lifecycle of IT projects, and ensuring our IT services meet the highest standards of reliability, security, and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and service delivery, including escalation and resolution of issues.
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, standards, and processes.
- Monitor and manage the technology environment, including infrastructure, business systems, customer portals, communications, and security.
- Report regularly on IT performance, vendor service levels, and technology support.
- Review, actively contribute to, and successfully deliver the IT Strategy.
What You’ll Bring
Ideally, you will be Tertiary qualified in Information Technology or proven experience in IT. You will require excellent influencing and planning skills and demonstrating an ability to effectively deliver successful outcomes and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
Other key skills and experience will include:
- Experience in IT strategy delivery, technology transformation projects, and uplifting system security.
- Broad knowledge of IT industry technologies, including networks, business applications, cloud-based solutions, and outsourced service providers.
- Proven experience in uplifting overall cyber security to identify and mitigate risk
- Strong business acumen along with highly developed organisational skills and a proven ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Growth mindset
- Proven Project Management experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to develop relationships, trust and rapport with a range of stakeholders at all levels
