Description How you can make an impact We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Bundaberg Business Advisory team. This is an opportunity to work on diverse and complex tax matters, contribute insights that guide sound financial decisions, and play a meaningful role in both our clients’ and our team’s development. You will: Prepare, reconcile and analyse management accounting statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Perform accounting system review(s) to identify areas of improvement and efficiency for clients. Assist in implementation of improvements identified where possible. Preparation of three-way forecast models to set short and long-term financial goals, including development of key business drivers that integrate with those forecast models. Assistance in measuring performance against these targets on a regular basis. Perform meetings with clients presenting key outcomes and actions from analysis work performed. Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs and providing proactive solutions. Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster their professional development. Analyse complex financial issues, identify potential risks, and develop effective solutions. Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work. Skills And Experiences You have: Ideally 3 years working as an accountant in Business Advisory Undergraduate qualifications Studying or completed CA or CPA qualification Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, Tax Law, and Superannuation Law Proven experience in business advisory and financial analysis Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desired: Knowledge of cloud-based accounting software and data analytics tools You are: ● A critical thinker who looks beyond the numbers to understand what they truly mean in clients’ lives. ● A strong communicator who makes technical information straightforward and useful. ● A self-starter who takes ownership of your work, contributes ideas, and proactively seeks opportunities for improvement. ● Passionate about sharing your expertise to build capability across the team. ● Someone who believes in doing good work that genuinely supports clients and colleagues around you.
