Regional Tobacco Action & Youth Coordinator
The Regional Tobacco Action & Youth Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Tacking Indigenous Smoking (TIS) and Youth Programs.
About You
To be considered for this position you will have:
ESSENTIAL
* Demonstrated experience and the ability to provide leadership and manage a team effectively
* Experience in planning, coordination and implementation to meet agreed timelines and objectives, including previous experience preparing reports and correspondence
* Prior knowledge and understanding of cultural factors and social determinants particularly relating to Aboriginal Health
* Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including the ability to relate well to staff and to liaise effectively with key stakeholders
* Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and a high level of accuracy
* Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively determine priorities to ensure deadlines are met
* Valid Working with Children Check (WA)
* National Criminal History Check Certificate (Police Clearance – valid within 3 months)
DESIRABLE
* A qualification in Health Promotion or Project Management or Population Health or a related discipline
* Knowledge of Health Promotions for Tobacco Awareness education
* Ability to travel and stay overnight/s during outreach
