The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a compassionate and skilled Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) to join our dedicated team in a Part Time capacity. With a current caseload of 2-3 days per week, you'll have the chance to continue building your caseload with the support of the intake & scheduling teams. Provide personalised massage therapy to enhance the health and well-being of elderly clients in Residential Aged Care and Community Care settings, and help clients achieve improved mobility, pain relief, and a better quality of life.
Key responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive physical assessments of clients' needs and medical history.
* Develop and implement individualised massage therapy treatment plans aimed at reducing pain, improving mobility, and enhancing well-being.
* Collaborate with Allied Health Professionals to integrate massage therapy into comprehensive care plans.
* Educate clients and their families about the benefits of massage therapy and self-care strategies to promote ongoing well-being.
* Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and any observed changes in clients' physical conditions.
* Manage a diverse caseload across both residential aged care and community care settings, ensuring equitable access to therapy services.
* Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on client feedback and evolving needs.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
* Actively participate in professional development, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you:
* Successful completion of Diploma of Remedial Massage (AMT Senior Level 1 or higher).
* A genuine passion for working with older adults.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Caring and compassionate attitude.
* Effective time management and organisational skills.
* Ability to prioritise and effectively workloads as per KPIs.
* Experience in similar role desirable but not essential.
* Completion of a pre-employment assessment and a National Criminal History check clearance during recruitment process.
