Hatch is looking for construction and project controls professionals to support an AI research project with one of our partners through flexible, hourly contract work.
This is not a traditional job. You'll draw on your hands-on experience with project scheduling, cost controls, and construction planning to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback that helps AI better understand project controls workflows and practices.
Note: This role is not with Hatch. It is with a partner AI lab.
Key details

* Start: Immediate
* Pay: $65 AUD per hour
* Duration: 3-week project, with the possibility of extension
* Hours: Up to 40 hours per week; no minimum hours
* Location: Fully remote, asynchronous schedule
This is a project-based opportunity that can be done alongside research, consulting, teaching, or industry employment. You will be asked to complete real work tasks in a structured format, independently producing expert-level analytical work using the tools and workflows from your professional practice. This could include project schedule development, critical path analysis, progress measurement, cost estimating and forecasting, or schedule risk analysis. Requirements
* At least 2 years of professional experience in renewable energy generation, forecasting, or environmental markets, in roles such as:
o Project Scheduler or Senior Scheduler
o Project Controls Engineer or Construction Planner
o EPC Project Manager or Project Planner
o Or equivalent roles in the energy or construction industry
* Hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
* Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with AI research teams
