We offer a caring, respectful, small school environment where all students participate and actively engage in all facets of school life.
Our school has been recognised as an Excellent Public School, central to this award is our innovative programs and the outstanding staff who are passionate about our students.
At Newton Moore ESC we believe that effective teachers build relationships and connections which are key to student success. We are role models and lead by example in our classes. We know strong self-reflection is important and take opportunities to grow. We acknowledge and challenge our cultural responsiveness and seek to learn. We take opportunities to know our students from all transition points in school and all areas of their wellbeing. We take an interest in them as individuals and all they can add to our school tapestry.
We plan with the child at the centre, with families and young people, through Individual Education Plans and Person Centred Plans. We differentiate our learning through tiered responses and collaborative planning. Our learning is delivered through strong relationships and structured routines with clear, taught expectations. We create safe learning spaces with tiered supports and trained staff to build student academic, social and pastoral needs.
We teach our students in the way they prefer to learn; we recognise our learners are individuals and require approaches that meet where they are at, as we do with assessment.

As a school we are always looking to expand our classroom and specialist curriculum programs and would encourage classroom and specialist teachers to apply.
Our school offers far more than 'just another teaching job'. We offer a busy and vibrant workplace where really good people work hard together; regular and well-structured team meetings to keep you 'in the loop' and give you a voice; ongoing opportunities for you to present and implement approved ideas that improve your work practices and an environment that is centred on providing quality education to our students. Our culture is one of reflection, collaboration, trust and positive relationships. We are always seeking to learn and provide feedback in all we do.
