The primary goal of this position is to contribute significantly to the attainment of departmental, branch, and corporate objectives related to profitability, growth, customer service, and client relations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Portfolio Analysis
o Design and implement effective portfolio analysis strategies to maximize profit and retention.
o Collaborate with internal stakeholders regarding portfolio management strategy and maintain a unified approach with brokers; provide feedback and potential solutions.
o Monitor and report on the status of open claims for assigned accounts and make recommendations.
o Prepare thoroughly for account reviews with management, demonstrating knowledge of risk, industry trends, competitive environment, and company products and capabilities.
* Underwriting Excellence
o Adhere to underwriting, compliance, and file documentation standards and workflows to support revenue and profit goals.
o Evaluate and accept or decline new lines, renewals, and endorsements within delegated authority.
o Recommend acceptance or declination on risks exceeding authority.
o Makes decisions on account trade-offs.
o Provide input to Manager on profit analysis, premium planning, market analysis, and environmental factors.
* Sales and Business Development
o Achieve individual producer targets as specified in business plans.
o Develop and/or implement an effective business development strategy to prospect for new business across product lines and broker segments. This includes collaborating with key stakeholders to maximize sales outcomes.
This role requires a proven ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to complex underwriting challenges. The ideal candidate will have expertise in pricing techniques, alternative risk transfer, and reserve development by case and book of business.
