As the CO2 Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating the plant and equipment safely, reliably, and efficiently. Your duties include monitoring plant parameters, keeping the Facility Manager informed, and performing operations and maintenance tasks that you are qualified and authorized to carry out.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
* Abide by the OHS Act and Regulations; take reasonable care for your own health and safety, as well as that of others.
* Liaise with Raw Gas and Utilities Suppliers (e.g., AGL) to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the CO2 Plant.
* Ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the plant.
* Respond promptly to plant interruptions and escalate issues to the Facility Manager when necessary.
* Perform routine plant maintenance tasks that you are trained and qualified to execute.
* Participate in investigations and root cause analyses of safety, quality, and reliability issues and incidents.
* Complete training and qualification requirements as necessary.
* Support the Facility Manager in running the plant operations in accordance with Air Liquide's and other relevant standards and regulations.
* Analyze parameters to pre-empt problems that may prevent continuous production and propose necessary actions.
* Identify maintenance needs and suggest appropriate actions.
Are you a MATCH?
* Technical background with experience/skills in electrical trades, instrumentation, or automotive trades.
* Solid experience in process plant operations.
* Comfortable using Google Suite and other reporting tools.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Committed to safe work practices and maintaining a safety-first mindset.
* Knowledge of plant site standards.
* An interest and understanding of piping, valves, electrical & instrumentation, and other plant equipment.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage competing demands.
* Ability to interpret instructions, safety rules, operating procedures from various sources.
* Willingness to respond to callouts as the plant operates 24/7.
