About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Customer Service Coordinator to join our Operations team. In this full-time, permanent role, you will provide essential administration support to our Customer Service Team and liaise directly with our valued customers. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring bookings and transport orders are managed efficiently, supporting smooth rail and transport operations, and delivering outstanding customer service.
You will need the ability to:
* Liaise directly with customers regarding rail and transport requirements, ensuring clear and timely communication.
* Register and follow up on transport orders, verifying booking details for accuracy.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with customer bookings, maintaining a solutions-focused approach.
* Maintain and update high-volume Excel spreadsheets for accurate data entry and reporting.
* Communicate delays and booking issues to customers promptly and professionally.
* Collaborate with operations to ensure bookings are on track and service requirements are met.
* Process monthly reports for billing and reconciliation.
* Answer incoming calls and provide professional phone support.
* Perform end-of-month reconciliation, container registration, rail planning, and train checks as required.
What You Will Bring
* High volume customer service experience (Essential).
* Transport/logistics industry experience (Desirable).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
* Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
* Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively.
* Strong phone contact and handling skills.
* Willingness to learn new skills and demonstrate responsibility.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a supportive team.
