At our renowned Cancer Care Westside in Taringa, Brisbane we are seeking a dedicated and patient‑focused Medical Receptionist for a permanent, full‑time position (5 days per week, Monday to Friday) and will also consider senior‑level applicants for part‑time hours. This role supports our passionate and dynamic team in delivering high‑quality cancer care services to the local community. As part of a patient‑centric organisation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional care for our patients.
What's Involved
* Patient liaison: welcoming patients, answering calls, managing correspondence, and scheduling appointments.
* Patient administration: billing, accurate data entry in our e‑management system (Mosaiq), and managing records.
* Liaising with hospitals, specialists, and allied health professionals.
* Supporting doctors, coordinating with nurses, and assisting allied health staff in delivering patient care.
Who You Are
* Demonstrated ability to work with empathy and compassion.
* Demonstrated ability to multitask.
* Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
* Experience in a hospital or day hospital setting is desirable.
* Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment.
What You Bring
* Experience in a medical practice or oncology setting is highly regarded.
* Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and Private Health Insurance.
* Well‑developed organisational and time‑management skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to use multiple software systems and proficiency in Word and Excel.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
