Wirrabirra Primary School is seeking a highly motivated, skilled and committed Physical Education Teacher. This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026.

The Role

The successful applicant should possess high standards of professionalism and will work collaboratively with the Specialist Team. Ideally, you will plan and implement a high standard of physical education instruction and events for Wirrabirra students.

A sound understanding of the WA Curriculum is essential; a knowledge of PBS is also desirable.

You will support the development of team skills through interschool event training, leading up to interschool carnivals. You will work with leadership team to plan and lead carnivals, including athletics and cross country, and interschool winter and summer carnivals.

You should be a collaborative and proactive contributor to the physical education network of our surrounding schools. You will facilitate the year six student faction leaders and develop their leadership and organisation skills.

Wirrabirra PS is located in Gosnells with approximately 370 students from K-6.

Eligibility

- hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
