Job Description:
Molecular biology is an interdisciplinary field that combines concepts and techniques from biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and computer science. It involves the study of molecular structure, function, and interactions to understand the underlying mechanisms of living organisms. The Lead Scientist - Molecular Biology will play a key role in advancing our understanding of molecular biology principles and their applications in drug discovery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology or related field
* Substantial relevant postdoctoral experience in therapeutic characterisation using Advanced Light Microscopy
* Expertise in advanced light microscopy methodologies such as confocal, super resolution, multiphoton, live imaging and high content applied to biological samples
* Experience in molecular engineering of cells including lentiviral transduction, CRISPR techniques and molecular analysis technologies for evaluation of therapeutics
* Effective communication and research collaboration skills, working with a wide range of colleagues in range of academic and commercial organisations
