About the roleReporting to the Operations Manager, the Spare Parts Supervisor leads a team that interprets, processes and supports customer spare parts requirements.
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills are essential, as are leadership abilities.
Key responsibilities
Compile quotes for service department and external customers
Prepare customer invoices and enter sales data into parts computer
Review market competitiveness of parts and discuss discounts for volume customers
Arrange courier pick-ups and deliveries
Control stock replenishments for warehouse and field service vans
Prepare and dispatch inter-branch stock transfer requests
Assist technicians in locating and ordering parts for breakdown repairs
Process parts required for Workshop Sales and Hire preps
Process daily paperwork including booking parts for jobs and incoming orders
Raise purchase orders, goods receipts and update stock purchased
Identify product problems and make recommendations
Use PPE and comply with EEO practices and procedures
Qualifications and skills
Experience in a similar role within automotive/light vehicle industry
Passion for leadership and mentoring people
Customer-focused with ability to liaise with internal and external customers
Experience in inventory control and warehouse systems
Understanding of parts sales & supply chain activities
Strong communication skills—verbal and written
Competent in Microsoft Office
Current driver's licence and forklift ticket
Work schedule and locationMonday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm at Brisbane Branch.
Phone and uniforms/PPE are provided.
