Medical on Burleigh is seeking an outstanding Lead Nurse to play a pivotal leadership role within our growing, multidisciplinary healthcare practice. About the role
As Lead Nurse, you will be both a clinical leader and a hands-on contributor, supporting patients, mentoring nurses, and partnering closely with doctors, allied health professionals, and practice leadership.
You will have genuine influence over workflows, standards, and culture - not just rosters and checklists.
What you’ll be responsible for
* Leading, coordinating, and supporting the nursing team to deliver consistently high-quality care
* Providing compassionate, patient-centred nursing care across a diverse patient population
* Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support individualised treatment plans
* Overseeing clinical standards, medication administration, documentation, and patient safety
* Mentoring, supervising, and developing nursing staff, fostering confidence and capability
* Ensuring compliance with professional, regulatory, and organisational standards
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance patient experience and team effectiveness
What we’re looking for
* Registered Nurse with at least 3 years’ post-graduate experience, ideally in general practice or a comparable clinical setting
* Demonstrated leadership capability (formal title not essential, but influence and credibility are)
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead calmly, clearly, and respectfully
* A patient-first mindset paired with sound clinical judgement
* Confidence using clinical software and digital systems
* A genuine interest in developing others and contributing to a positive workplace culture
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement
